International Women's Day 2015

Washington, D.C., USA - Diplomatic Courier and Women’s Democracy Network will celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month with a delegation of women leaders from around the world. These leaders have demonstrated their commitment to increasing women’s political representation in decision making and promoting democratic governance in their communities and countries.

Diplomatic Courier’s focus for March 2015 will be the Post-UN Millennium Development Goals agenda, with a particular spotlight on women’s political and economic empowerment and how the latter should become one of the Sustainable Development Goals informing the development agenda for the next decade.

Women’s Democracy Network work is focused on increasing women’s political participation, leadership role in civic and political life and election to public office. WDN realizes this goal by connecting aspiring women leaders with experienced professionals through dynamic training and mentorship initiatives. WDN members all around the world are impacting democratic developments in their communities and countries.
