Washington, D.C., USA -Â Diplomatic Courier and Womenâs Democracy Network will celebrate International Womenâs Day and Womenâs History Month with a delegation of women leaders from around the world. These leaders have demonstrated their commitment to increasing womenâs political representation in decision making and promoting democratic governance in their communities and countries.
Diplomatic Courierâs focus for March 2015 will be the Post-UN Millennium Development Goals agenda, with a particular spotlight on womenâs political and economic empowerment and how the latter should become one of the Sustainable Development Goals informing the development agenda for the next decade.
Womenâs Democracy Network work is focused on increasing womenâs political participation, leadership role in civic and political life and election to public office. WDN realizes this goal by connecting aspiring women leaders with experienced professionals through dynamic training and mentorship initiatives.
