Dec 05, 2017

The governments of China and Panama signed nineteen memoranda of cooperation between the two nations in Beijing on Friday, among which the possible establishment in the future of a free trade agreement is emphasized.

These documents have been the result of five months of talks between the two nations since in June of this year Panama decided to recognize the principle of “one China” and establish diplomatic relations with the Asian country at the expense of Taiwan.
