On December 21, within the framework of an official visit to the World Trade Center Moscow, representatives of Club 101, a center of veteran collaboration and support, presented a bust of Yevgeny Maksimovich Primakov to Vladimir Salamatov, General Director of the WTC, in a special ceremony.
“Yevgeny Maksimovich was an honorary member of the Club, and he had always responded with readiness to all our invitations to meetings with colleagues, and was always interesting to listen to. He is a person with a capital letter, for whom we have deep respect, whom we remember and will always remember. It’s a very remarkable personality, an outstanding political figure and statesman of this country... We decided that we should eternalize his memory. And for his birthday, we had his bust made, and will present it to the leaders of those entities that he had been in charge of: the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Foreign Ministry, the Institute of Oriental Studies. And we are presenting it to you,” said Leonid Ribchenya, President of Club 101.
The author of the bust is sculptor Andrei Tyrtyshnikov, a member of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts.
The delegation of Club 101 also visited the permanent exhibition dedicated to the memory of the great politician, academic and journalist, where Mr. Primakov’s sculptured portrait will also be exhibited shortly.
